TIE Fighter
600,000 |
The TIE/Ln Fighter forms the backbone of the Imperial Fighter Corps. Designed to replace the aging TIE Fighter, the TIE/Ln is extremely fast and maneuverable. It is a superior fighter of its time and can defeat the Y-Wing and Z-95 Headhunter in most engagements.
TIE/ln Fighters were first bested in combat by the Incom T-65 X-Wing starfighter. Such engagements have resulted in TIE/Ln pilots engaging Rebel X-Wings with a minimum of three-to-one odds in their favor as Standard Procedure.
Built to replace an older fighter, the TIE/Ln is itself feeling the pressure to perform in an increasingly deadly combat environment. Millions of these fighters were constructed, and contracts exist for millions more, so it will be some years before the TIE/Ln is completely phased out. However, TIE/Ln pilots know that given the vastly superior performance of such craft as the TIE Interceptor, it is only a matter of time before their beloved fighter is limited to mere training duties.
Like all TIE ships, it has a titanium alloy hull and quadanium steel armored solar panels. Also, like other TIE ships, it is built exclusively from Seinar Fleet Systems components, and has no primary life support systems. The TIE/Ln's standard payload consists of twin high-speed blaster cannon. It is a short range starfighter, requiring a nearby base of operations from which to obtain fuel and guidance
This aged ship is now used by the Royal Guard for training and ceremonial duties within the Royal Guard and the Emperor’s Inner Circle.

TIE Interceptor
1,000,000 |
Shortly before the series of events culminating in the Battle of Yavin, members of the Imperial Starfighter Corps demanded an improved fighter to counter the new Rebel X-Wing. Using data gathered from combat sensor recordings of Rebel fighters and experience with the TIE X series, Sienar Fleet Systems designed several new fighters. The best known, most common and most popular of these is the TIE Interceptor.
The TIE Interceptor is 11% faster than the TIE/Ln Fighter, and has a stronger hull. It still retains the command module of the TIE Fighter series, but with several improvements, including a new ion stream projection system, with nearly twice the range of maneuvering. The solar panels are not as tall, but have been elongated, with cut-outs made in the wings for pilot visibility. This "dagger" profile has the added advantage of being more intimidating. At the tip of each "dag" there is a laser cannon, giving the TIE Interceptor firepower comparable to the X-Wing, and the improved fire control software makes it just as accurate. The hardpoints found on the TIE Fighter series are still there, and could be fitted with additional blaster weapons if a more powerful generator, or supplemental generators, ware installed. These hardpoints are generally fitted with either concussion missiles or ECM pods, depending on the mission at hand.
Introduced just a few months after the Battle of Yavin, the TIE Interceptor was a common sight within a year, and composed 20% of the combat TIEs in service by the time of the Battle of Endor. The basic design is highly versatile and served as the basis for the TIE Defender and TIE Advanced. It is expected that when numbers are sufficient, the TIE Interceptor will replace the TIE/Ln Fighter in Imperial front-line service.
This aged ship is used by the Royal Guard just for training and ceremonial duties within the Royal Guard or the Emperor’s Inner Circle.

Sith Fighter
1,050,000 |
Darth Malak and Darth Revan's terrifying campaigns against the Republic. The Sith capital ships were former Republic vessels taken by their traitorous captains, but the bulk of the invasion force was a seemingly inexhaustible number of these adaptable fighters. They could be tightly packed into cargo bays, and a large fleet could be delivered by even a single mothership. Launched the instant their carrier left hyperspace, these fighters could be deployed in a surprisingly short amount of time.
Though most of the resources bolstering Sith forces were stolen from the Republic, Sith fighters appeared to be powered by a prototype twin ion drive system exclusive to this design. Analysis indicates a hybrid of technologies, though none that match the products of any known world. The dual engines and thrusters granted power and maneuverability almost to the point of instability, and as a result, much of the central chassis of the ship was devoted to managing the reactor core for optimal performance.
Little concern appears to have been given to the comfort of the Sith fighter pilot, and only the most essential subsystems were included. Among these was an interesting mechanic that illustrated the versatility of the vehicle. When docked or cruising long distances, the wings were folded inward and weapon systems were left offline to conserve energy. In combat, the wings unfolded, and blaster cannons were powered at each outward edge. This broad attack area allowed a small number of ships to produce devastating crossfire, while each remained difficult to target because of the undersized front and rear profile.

TIE/tls Smasher
1,100,000 |
The TIE Smasher was designed around the concept of the SuperHeavy Laser Cannon, and is a modified TIE Interceptor with two of these weapons mounted. Although slower than the base TIE Interceptor, the fighter is still as fast as the basic TIE Fighter, although it is less maneuverable. The Twin SuperHeavy Laser Cannons do a huge quantity of damage, each cannon handing out as much damage as a Proton Torpedo with a significantly longer range than normal laser cannons. However in all other respects the TIE Smasher is a fairly standard TIE design, and the huge expense of the weapons in what is considered an expendable design mean that the fighter never went in large scale production under the reign of Emperor Palpatine. But this was not the end of the Smasher: the design was revived by at least two of the imperial remnant forces, and has seen heavy use holding back the New Republic from the territory of these remnants.

TIE/ht Hunter
1,200,000 |
This experimental TIE never saw much combat in the Galactic Civil War. The craft was produced in limited quantities and performed relatively well, but was pulled from the lines, due to the Empire's arrogance against using a weapon improved with the enemy's designs. Commissioned by the Empire's elite Storm Commando Corp, the TIE Hunter is an experimental fighter that sacrifices armor and firepower for flight speed. It is equipped with twin laser cannons, a proton torpedo launcher, and twin ion cannons. The design of this new craft integrates the folding s-foil design of an X-Wing into the form of a TIE Interceptor. However, the high speed closed wing configuration reduces the solar panel surface area so dramatically that no weapons can be fired while the wings are in a closed position. All available energy is transferred to the craft's advanced twin ion engines.

Scimitar Assault Bomber
1,250,000 |
Though designers at Sienar Fleet Systems constantly revisited the standard TIE starfighter to developed new variants and improved combat models, the designs of bomber craft did not evolve at such a hurried pace. The TIE Bomber was seen as a significant advancement over the older TIE/gt, but for most of the Galactic Civil War, the twin-pod bomber remained unchanged.
During Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign to retake the Galactic Core, he ordered a new generation of bomber craft, and Sienar delivered the Scimitar Assault Bomber. Its memorable name comes from the famous Scimitar Assault Wing, easily the most decorated wing of TIE Bomber pilots in the Imperial Navy. The new ship is far more advanced than the TIE Bomber of old.
Rather than a twin-pod craft, the Scimitar has a single elongated body. The pilot and bombardier sit in a forward capsule-shaped module, which can eject and serve as an escape pod. Elongated solar array wings bracket the craft. Interlocked repulsorlift thrusters provide the Scimitar with exceptional maneuverability.
In space, the ship is far faster than a TIE Bomber. In an atmosphere, it can achieve cruising speeds of up to 1,150 kilometers per hour, and divebomb speeds of 1,250 kilometers per hour.
The bomber has a reinforced hull and shields, proton grenades, free-falling thermal detonators, and space for 16 concussion missiles. There are also linked forward laser cannons.
Eleven years after the Battle of Yavin, the rogue Royal Guard Kir Kanos used a Scimitar Assault Bomber as a booby trap to destroy the Star Destroyer Emperor's Revenge while it was orbiting the planet Yinchorr.

TIE Shadow
1,300,000 |
The TIE Shadow is a remodeled version of the TIE Phantom, utilizing many of the same systems, but also incorporating some more standard TIE components. Without the cloaking device this fighter is far cheaper to produce, and the larger frame allows the fighter to carry heavier armament than a standard TIE Fighter. The treble heavy laser cannons are extremely dangerous, and the twin missile launchers add punch allowing the fighter to smash enemies. TIE Shadows were designed to provide a long range patrol capability to the TIE series, extending the fighters range by many times, allowing the Empire to patrol huge areas without having to rely on Capital ships. These fighters were only built in small numbers, and have been pressed into service as patrol and interdiction fighters aiding lighter TIE Interceptors in securing space and capital ships against Rebel attacks.

TIE Vampire Mk II
1,400,000 |
The TIE Vampire Mk2 is an advanced version of the TIE Vampire which is fitted with a new prototype of stealth plating known by the codename "cold skin". Like a 'real' vampire that has neither measurable body temperature nor a reflection, this new technology hides the ship from both visual and biothermical scanners (adding 2 levels to the difficulty of detecting this fighter). The drive is slightly enhanced and the already impressive weaponry remains untouched, leaving the TIE Vampire Mk2 an extremely potent vessel which has been bought in small numbers and will possibly replace the more expensive and less effective TIE Phantom. The red coating on the hull makes the Mk2 distinctive from more standard designs of TIE Fighter, and makes it easily recognizable and easy to distinguish from the Mk1 version of this design.

TIE Cyclone
4,200,000 |
The TIE Cyclone is a small production run starfighter designed by Sienar as an improvement to the TIE Interceptor, using some of the design features of the TIE Defender. The Cyclone has three wing sections, which provide it with unprecedented maneuvering thruster cover and power for those thrusters. This means that the Cyclone is perhaps most maneuverable fighter ever built, and its six laser cannons provide an incredible amount of firepower, making it faster, more maneuverable and better armed than any opposition fighter. However the cost of the fighter was high and this combined with the need for specialized docking facilities (because the Cyclone cannot use standard TIE racks) meant that the Empire was not convinced of the usefulness of this fighter and did not commit to its production.

Sith Infiltrator
6,500,000 |
During their long centuries of secret actions against the Jedi Order, Sith apprentices have maintained a tradition of special spacecraft suited to their evil missions, called Sith Infiltrators. Darth Maul's dreaded craft is the latest in this ancient line of dark vessels and is perhaps the most dangerous Infiltrator yet created. Able to appear and disappear with the ease of a shadow, it hides in its distinctive long prow a formidable full-effect cloaking device, a technological wonder that gives it invisibility on command. The Infiltrator is a customized version of an advanced armed star courier from the workshop of the technological genius Raith Sienar, and features laser cannons, extensive sensor systems, and an experimental high-temperature ion engine system requiring large radiator panels, which fold inward during landings. Darth Maul uses the powerful capabilities of his Infiltrator to learn secret information, plant sabotage, and track targeted individuals anywhere in the galaxy. The evasive and deadly craft is an appropriate extension of the uncanny abilities of its Sith Lord pilot.
After the lost battle of Naboo and the death of Darth Maul, Darth Sidious' servants managed to save the ship before it could be captured by the Nubian forces. The ship was hidden in a secret place. After the foundation of the Royal Guard, the Sith Infiltrator was disassembled and a new blue print was made to rebuild this fine ship and provide the elite corps with a few models.
