V-Wing Airspeeder
500,000 |
An airspeeder used by the New Republic at the first Battle of Calamari, it was designed by Slayn & Korpil to be an all-environment speeder and an interface transport used to move the speeder from its docking space.
The transport section is loaded in order, and can carry four or six transports. They transport then is launched, and plunges through the atmosphere under snubfighter escort. The speeder pilots enter their ships during this plunge, moving through sleeves to their ships. When all is ready, the speeders are launched from the transport, which disengages from any battles. It flies back to the parent ship, to refuel and be ready to launch more speeders. The four-speeder transport, designated Model A, is 20 meters long; the six-speeder version is the Model B, and is 27 meters long. The transport is unarmed.
The speeder is 6.3 meters in length, and is armed with a double blaster cannon. The speeder's design allows it to channel air into Chab-Ylwoum scramjet intake channels, which help the ship obtain speed (the base 1,000 kilometers an hour can be boosted to 1,400 kph) but reduce maneuverability. |

Snowspeeder
750,000 |
A modified Incom T-47 airspeeder, deployed in small numbers by the Rebel Alliance at the Battle of Hoth to delay approaching Imperial AT-ATs. Like all airspeeders, they rely upon repulsorlift drive units and high-powered afterburners to reach speeds in excess of 1,000 kilometers per hour. Each heavily armored snowspeeder carries a Rebel pilot and a rear-facing gunner, who controls the craft's twin laser cannons. Snowspeeders are also equipped with harpoon guns and tow cables, which the Rebels used to topple at least one AT-AT. |

X-Wing
750,000 |
The Incom T-65 X-wing is perhaps one of the most famous and best all around fighter of all time. It features an advanced Quad Laser system attached to its 4 movable S-Foils. These S-foils in the closed position restrict the fighter from firing lasers, but give it an added burst of speed and does not restrict the dual proton torpedo launcher from releasing its payload of 6 warheads.
Despite the payload comparable to some bombers, it features speed enough to hold pace with most fighters.
The X-wing holds a shield generator able to stand to moderate to heavy forms of punishment and the armor plating is strong enough to resist most fire well. To top it all off, it also has counter measures to throw off warheads.
This versatility has made the X-wing line the favorite of many famous squads such as Kyp's Dozen, Twin Suns, Wild Knightz, and the famous Rogue Squadron. |

Z-95 Head Hunter
900,000 |
The Z-95 is perhaps one of the most modified star fighters of all time. Originally created by Incom Industries and Subpro Corporation, it has evolved over years through countless forms, though always keeping the standard elongated nose and bubbled cockpit.
Early forms were comparable to modern TIE Fighters, as they had no shields, missiles, or hyper drive. In more recent forms, the bubble cockpit was shrunken and instruments were added to compensated for the lack of visibility. However, today or in the older models, the Z-95 is highly effective in atmosphere. The Z-95 saw such forms as the Z-95C4d (support bomber), Z-95ER (extended range) Z-95ML (missile fighter), Z-95XT (2 person trainer), Z-95-AF4 (4 engine and wing assault fighter, like an X-wing), and the Z-95t, which is currently used by the alliance and features a class 3 hyper drive. The Z-95 is later credited to evolving into the X-wing. |

Y-Wing
1,500,000 |
The Koensayr BTL-A4 Y-wing is the premier bombing fighter of the Alliance and is featured in many planet defense forces and Pirate fleets. It was designed as a fighter, which allows it some capabilities, but it functions best as a bomber. It’s not as fast as most ships, but its ability to take a beating is unmatched. Just its hull is strong enough that it can take a pounding that comparable ships would vaporize under. Its shields can take even more punishment. The poor speed is it's biggest disadvantage, however it does boast a swift train over time to the T-47 Snow/Air Speeder, which uses the cockpit from the Y-wing |

M-Class X-Wing
1,600,000 |
The M-class was an effort to increase the hitting power of the basic X-Wing by addressing one of the starfighter's shortcomings; it's small warhead capacity. The M-class expands the X-Wing's torpedo bays by adding a pair of lateral magazines housing additional warheads plus a second pair of launchers. The M-class can carry two types of warheads, or any single type, totaling seven rounds per side. A common fit is to have four concussion missiles and ten proton torpedoes, for example. The M stands for “missile carrier”.
The M-class had up-rated engines and targeting systems, and dispenses with the old, cumbersome torpedo targeting module. All targeting are now provided by the holographic HUD.
The M-class was successful in combat operations, but relatively few were produced as production was halted in favor of the more effective E-Wing for the heavy assault role. |

X-Wing "Tandem X"
1,750,000 |
Developed shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the unusual "Tandem-X" was intended as a replacement for the aging, but venerable, Y-Wwing starfighter. Based off the X-Wing variants in use at the time, the T-65T was designed almost explicitly for use as an assault fighter and close-support craft.
At 90 MGLT the T-65T is faster than the earlier T-65B, although is easily outpaced by newer X-Wing. The ship's increased mass reduces her manoeuvrability, although she's still a more than adequate dogfighter. However, her most impressive feature is firepower. The Tandem-X carries a load of twenty Heavy Proton Torpedos, more punch than virtually any other starfighter in use.
Despite impressive combat performance, lack of money and resources and a shortage of personnel to provide a required bombardier/navigator, limited the numbers of these fighters produced in favour of the far more versatile standard X-Wing models. Following the Battle of Hoth, most T-65Ts with frontline Alliance squadrons were replaced with the more rugged B-Wing heavy assault starfighter. |

A-Wing
1,900,000 |
The Dodonna-Blissex A-wing is one of the fastest fighters around. As time and time again, the A-wing out performs the imperial version in every aspect. However, it doesn't quite outperform its fellow Alliance fighters. The A-wing is fast, but that comes with a price. It is little more then a pair of huge Novaldex J-77 Event Horizon engines with a seat. It is extremely vulnerable to fire and its exposed cockpit design is a nightmare for those expecting to roll with the punches. Only the best pilots can handle it as the speed and maneuverability is to the point where the ship is nearly uncontrollable. However, it does function well as a support and superiority fighter. The cannons are able to rotate 120 degrees total (60 up and down) and some are able to rotate completely. A pair of concussion missile launchers tops off the fighter with an explosive touch. Crashing an A-wing to finish off an enemy seems to be a reoccurring theme in some battles. |

XJ X-Wing
2,000,000 |
The X-Wing XJ is a heavily-modified version of the durable X-Wing starfighter and was developed two decades after the Battle of Endor by Incom. Among the enhancements over the original models, the XJ had three proton torpedo launchers, each of which carried three torpedoes. The XJ series ship also had improved fire-linking capability, with the ability to link the four laser cannons in specific patterns of fire, rather than just combinations of the four guns. Thus the weapons could be configuration to fire a pair of dual bursts - from any combination of cannons - followed in the cycle by a single quad burst from all four cannons.
The XJ was also equipped to use an R7-series astromech droid. Two of these ships found their way into the small fleet maintained by Kyp Durron, and many civilians believed that the "J" in the designation indicated that the ships were produced for the Jedi Knights. |

B-Wing
2,600,000 |
Designed by Admiral Ackbar and the Verpine colonies of Slayn and Korpil as part of the Shantipole Project, the B-Wing (the B stands for blade) looks like like a flying cross, with the control pod at the top, retractable wings at the sides, and laser guns at the top and bottom. The canopy is also gyroscopically levelled by a unique stabilization mechanism that allows the entire ship to rotate around the canopy. This is difficult to maintain, and can leave the pilot disoriented if it locks up.
The Quadex Kyromaster stardrive is located at the center of the cross. The whole ship flies sideways. The entire ship is 16.9 meters in length, at its longest dimension. Originally designed without a hyperdrive, it was later modified to include a hyperdrive and limited navcomp capabilities. It is limited to two hyperspace jumps before the navcomp requires recalibration. It can make 950 kilometers per hour in atmosphere, and has been rated at 90 MGLT in open space.
The B-Wing is equipped with active and passive sensors, a single laser cannon, two proton torpedo launchers, three fire-linked medium ion cannons, and two auto-blasters. The single laser cannon can be fired at low power in continuous mode, doing no damage but acting as a near-perfect targetting mechanism. While this makes the B-wing very effective, it also allows the enemy to effectively target the B-wing in return. |

B-Wing/E
3,000,000 |
This modification to the original Slayn & Korpil B-Wing design - known as the B-Wing Expanded - was first proposed by Admiral Ackbar and the Verpine after the Battle of Yavin.
The B-Wing Expanded had an elongated cockpit that allowed a a gunner to assist the pilot on missions. This allowed the pilot to concentrate on piloting, and resulted in the B-Wing accounting for an increased number of kills in battle. It was faster and tougher than the original B-Wing, but was somewhat less maneuverable. |

E-Wing
3,000,000 |
This starfighter, which employs the R7 astromech droid, was the first starfighter to be fully designed and built under the auspices of the New Republic, and was created by FreiTek Incorporated, a manufacturer formed by engineers and workers who defected to the Rebellion.
The ship, while visually like the X-Wing, has a pair of stable wings. It dishes out punishment and can take it equally well. It uses the R7 droid to take advantage of a redesigned hyperdrive system. The weapons systems leave something to be desired, being based on a synthetic Tibanna gas that isn't as good as the real thing.
The New Republic employed two models of the E-Wing. The basic A-Model is 11.2 meters in length, and is armed with three heavy blaster cannons and a proton torpedo launcher. The B-Model is nearly identical to the A-model, except that Mon Calamarian techs have tripled the power input to the weapons systems. This makes them extremely powerful, but if the couplings fail and the weapons overheat, they can be extremely dangerous. |

K-Wing
3,000,000 |
The K-Wing is a bomber that was developed by the New Republic about twelve years after the Battle of Endor. From the front, the K-Wing resembles the letter K, lying on its long side. The central fuselage is studded with four wings: two larger wings extend upward, while the shorter wings at the bottom act as landing skids. The four wings have eighteern unique positions, which can be adjusted depending on weaponry and payload. It has three primary thrust engines, two on the lower wings and one at the rear of the fuselage. The two-seated fighter was flown by a pilot and a gunner and a bomber, and was designed to fly in gravity-dense arenas. The K-Wing has no hyperdrive, being an atmospheric bomber. It primary mission is as a bomber, and it is the equal of the TIE Bomber in armament. It can also be armed to the teeth as a starfighter, but the ship suffers in maneuverability when more weapons are added. Thus, it is not a ship for dogfighting. It was first tested by the crew of the Monitor, and was first assigned to active duty with Task Force Quickfire. It first saw combat with the Fifth Battle Group near Bessimir.
The K-wing is a smaller, faster heavy bomber than the B-wing, with a heavier payload. Unlike the B-wing, however, this new starfighter is not nearly as heavily armored and shielded, but it is still a formidable opponent in battle. The K-Wing was in the prototype stage just before the Battle of Endor. |
